Duties and Main Functions of Laboratory:

  1. Giving Service for S-1, S-2 and S-3 students’ practicum.
  2. Giving service for S-1, S-2, S-3 students’ and lecturers’ research activity around Faculty of Agricultural Technology, UB.
  3. Holding the short training about Good laboratory Practices (GLP), especially for S-1 Students.
  4. Accepting test samples for food products for the food industry.
  5. Providing the apprentice training in laboratory management intern for Laboratory and other university teaching staff.

PATENT

Until February 2012, the number of patents that have been generated as much as 8 pieces. That is simple patent in the field of refining process technologies of porang, hardwareporang grinder tool, gembili processing technology and manufacturing process technology of chitosan.

MAIN PRODUCT

The Main product of the laboratory is the Certification of Physical, Chemical and Food Organoleptik Test.

Other product is a prototype food processing with physic-chemical characteristics of food products, such as imitation food products, oil products and derivatives, tuber-based food products and derivatives. The production process of bioactive extracts from a variety of natural materials.
