Post-Harvest and Food Process Engineering Laboratory
A. Laboratory Description
The Post-Harvest and Food Process Engineering Laboratory is a laboratory under Biosystems Engineering, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Brawijaya University. The Post-Harvest and Food Process Engineering Laboratory focuses on the development of technical science in food processing and agricultural products trough the development of product diversification technology. In general, processing techniques are ways to convert raw materials into finished or semi-finished materials through several types of processing methods. While food is a raw material derived from agriculture, animal husbandry, and fishery which has good nutritional
value for the body, so proper and good processing is needed to maintain the quality and nutritional value of these materials.
B. Function and Role of The Laboratory
In carrying out the function, The The Post-Harvest and Food Process Engineering Laboratory is expected to become a service center for research, testing, training and product diversification technology development. In addition, it also supports the application of course materials for students through the practicum program.
