One more achievement was obtained by the delegation from the FTP team. The team consists of Sakinah Hilya, Inggita Revira, and Ramadana Alyauma. The three students came from the departments of THP, TEP and TIP. In early April, the FTP delegation succeeded in reaching the funding stage in the CPPBT (Pendaan Perusahaan Pemula Berbasis Teknologi) competition. CPPBT is a funding program that is given to technology-based startup companies so that they are ready to make a profit.
The FTP team is one of four teams from UB that passed the PPBT funding, where the other three teams consisted of lecturers from FPIK. In this study, they presented “Innovation of Static Egg Based Static Osmosis Dehydration” which had already passed the presentation round in 18 January 2019 at Grand Sahid Hotel, Jakarta.
During this time, the production of quail eggs is more than ordinary chicken eggs. Unfortunately, this is not comparable to the demand for quail eggs on the market. Surplus quail eggs are what brought this team to process it more interesting by giving unique flavors such as salty rawon, soto, and others. Processing quail eggs will later use osmosis technology so that it not only increases taste, but can also increase storage power.
“I hope that technology will not only benefit a group of people, but will be commercialized in the community. Because good technology is not only known, but also implemented “, commented one team member.
