Vice Dean on Academic Affairs Faculty of Agricultural Technology Brawijaya University (FTP UB), Agustin Krisna Wardani, STP., M.Si., PhD visited Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL) Thailand for four days (04-07/Apr/2018).
Accompanied by Head of Food Science and Technology Program at the faculty, Erni Sofia Murtini, S.TP, MP., PhD, the visit was done in the frame of preparation workshop program for Brawijaya University – Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna International Class (BRIC) 2018. The visit discussed about curriculum, numbers and contents of the lectures subject, as well as competences of lecturers and the students as a preparation for inbound and outbound students mobility program.
The event also a follow up of joint agreement between FTP UB and RMUTL Thailand of which had signed on 03 August 2017. In the MoA signed by Vice Dean I of FTP UB and Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Science and Technology RMUTL Thailand, both parties are agreed to collaborate in areas of student and lecturer exchange, procurement of research, seminar and workshop, short course as well as exchange on academic information, publication and other documentations between FTP UB and RMUTL Thailand.
“Alhamdulillah, FTP UB’s existence is admitted globally with the event of inbound and outbound student mobility program along with RMUTL Thailand. Besides as a form of MoA implementation between FTP – RMUTL, the program is also a part of Brawijaya – Rajamangala International Class (BRIC) program. Currently, indeed it’s just Food Science and Technology Program that is involved. However in the future, other programs can join in the program in accordance with RMUTL Thailand specification,” said Vice Dean I FTP, Agustin Krisna Wardani.
Agustin added that through the program, some RMUTL students will began to study at FTP UB for two months since July 2018 to pursue their credits at their home campus after Mid-Semester Examination. Meanwhile, FTP UB students will depart to Thailand starts in September 2018 to get credits for two months and equipped with internship for a month.
“We are committed to all out support FTP’s internationalization. Moreover currently there are three programs at FTP of which already obtained international certification from IFT and AUN-QA. Hopefully BRIC Program can increase FTP’s reputation globally,” said Dean of Faculty of Agricultural Technology Dr. Ir. Sudarminto Setyo Yuwono, M.App.Sc.
