Master Program of Agricultural Product Technology Department of Agricultural Product Technology (TIP) Faculty of Agricultural Technology Universitas Brawijaya has visited by the National Accreditation Board of Higher Education (BAN-PT) team on Tuesday (23/05/2017). The assessors team consisting of Prof. Dr. Ir. Sri Raharjo, M.Sc. (Universitas Gadjah Mada Yogyakarta) and Dr. Ir. Ir. Hanifah N. Lioe, M.Si. (Bogor Agricultural University) were accepted by the Head of Master Program THP FTP, Dr. Ir. Elok Zubaidah, MP., Dean of FTP, Dr.Ir.Sudarminto Setyo Yuwono, M.App.Sc., along with his staff, Head of THP FTP Department, Prof. Dr. Teti Estiasih, STP. MP., and all of Task Force THP Master Program of FTP Team at 8th floor FTP Meeting Room starting at 08.00 WIB.
Visitation is one of the processes in the accreditation of THP Master Program. The site visit is done after the proof reading of 3A and 3B documents. During the visitation process, the assessment team saw the physical evidence of accreditation forms and the process of providing educational services that available. The next agenda is the meeting with the THP Mater Program crew consisting of students, lecturers, education staff, alumni and alumni users. The assessment team also reviews facilities in classrooms, laboratories in the Agricultural Products Technology Department, Food Production and Training Center (THP Bakery) and FTP pilot project laboratory. In her report, the Head of THP Master Program, Dr. Ir. Elok Zubaidah, MP., explains, “Currently we have 26 Lecturers consist of 9 professors and 17 Doctor qualifications. We also have 4 Professors that will increase soon. For our supporting staff, we have 5 administrations, 5 laborants and 2 librarians. Our alumni spread in various regions in Indonesia in various strategic position which is average in the field of education. Some of our alumni are Prof. Dr. Ir Sukamto, MS (Vice Rector 1 Universitas Widya Gama Malang), Dr. Ir. Yuli Witono ( Dean of FTP University of Jember), Dr. Ir.H. Thamrin, SP.MP. (Vice Dean I FTIP Halu Oleo Kendari University), Dr. Ir Alamsyah MP. (Vice Dean III FTIP Universitas Mataram). GPA Average of THP Master Program Students also shows an upward trend, ie, from the average 3.57 in the academic year 2011/2012 , now we reach the average of 3.69 in the academic year 2015/2016, “she explained. The BAN PT Assessor team revealed that the implementation of quality assurance at the Faculty level are good enough to held it independently (not held by the university). Although it need to improve the students technical skill, but generally THP Master Program’s curriculum is good enough because it has involved alumni, stakeholder and the other participant. (dse)
