International Tropical Fruits Network (TFNet) is an autonomous and self-financing international organisation set up under the auspices of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). It is both intergovernmental and inter-institutional in nature. TFNet was established since year 2000 with the objectives of promoting the development of tropical fruits globally. TFNet invites suitably qualified candidates to fill the challenging post of Project Officer for our office in Serdang, Selangor.

Responsibilities:

• Identify potential funders for agricultural related projects
• Prepare project proposals for submission to potential funders
• Prepare reports and presentations on funded project
• Coordinate and monitor  implementation of projects
• Conducts information and data searches

Requirements:

• Candidate should hold at least a Degree in Economics/Finance or equivalent
• Experience in project sourcing and planning
• Experience in financial and/or economic analyses
• At least FIVE years experience in related field
• Strong background in agriculture (preferable)
• Excellent competency in English (spoken and written) and have excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.  Knowledge of other languages is an added advantage.
• Possess own transport
• Can work independently with minimum supervision
