Faculty of Agricultural Technology Universitas Brawijaya held MMD Expo, Tuesday (09/07/2024) in Tulungagung Regency Hall.

In his speech at the beginning of the event , the dean of FAT UB, Prof. Yusuf Hendrawan, STP. M.App.Life.Sc. Ph.D., explained that this activity is a real form of FAT commitment to produce appropriate technology that can be implemented directly to the community.

“Now is not the time for science to be limited to theory on campus. But it must be implemented and have a real impact on society and industry. Alhamdulillah for MMD 2024, FAT UB succeeded in organizing and donating 45 innovation works to 45 villages in Tulungagung according to our tagline, 1 Village, 1 innovation work. Hopefully it can be used optimally as well as motivate everyone to continue to innovate , develop and be effective,” he explained.

While PJ Regent Tulungagung, DR. Ir. Heru Suseno, MT. said, ” Thank you to the Faculty of Agricultural Technology Universitas Brawijaya which has deployed 828 students as well as providing 45 appropriate innovation works for villages in our district. Hopefully, this activity can increase partnership and good cooperation between universities, Tulungagung Regency Local Government, and village government in village development efforts. Moreover, these tools are all relatively easy to make and appropriate, hope the future can be developed by the Regional Research and Innovation Agency (BRIDA) Tulungagung Regency. In addition, it can also be developed using village funds, ” he concluded.

In addition to the expo, the event was also filled with the signing of cooperation with 8 related agencies and the symbolic handover of forty-five grants of innovation works of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology Universitas Brawijaya to local village heads. (dse)
