THP Student Business Successfully Receives Funding from Brawijaya Entrepreneurial Incubator Agency

The achievements of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology are not only limited to the academic field, but are currently engaged in entrepreneurship. Starting from the task of food business practicum courses, the four students took the initiative to make processed food products that could be commercialized and according to people’s tastes. This product is called Meatball Netizens. Meatball Netizens managed to get funding from the Entrepreneurial Incubator Agency which is shaded by Universitas Brawijaya. They hold programs and competitions for students who want to become entrepreneurs through the competition of Young Entrpreneut Brawijaya. Meatball Netizens initiated by four 2016 Agricultural Product Technology students namely Thomas Prayogo, Maulidia Hilaili, Elvia Rahmawati, and Nur Avidha Surayya passed the funding phase of Rp. 2,000,000 to develop its business which was announced on July 7, 2019. The hope for the future is to trigger young entrepreneurs to be able to open job openings. The process of Young Brawijaya Entrepreneur selection is quite stringent starting from the collection of business proposals, proposal presentations, to young business training. Furthermore, BIW (Entrepreneurial Incubator Agency) will assist in the development of its business with monthly mentoring and evaluation activities. This achievement is expected to be a model for other FTP students to continue to innovate and develop their entrepreneurial spirit. (ER)
