Students of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Universitas Brawijaya, won two silver medals at the Mandalika Essay Competition (MEC 4)  2024 held by Nusantara Muda at Nahdlatul Wathan University, Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara (2-4/03/2024).

The team of Biotechnology 2023 FTP UB consisting of Marchella Alifian Amin Setiawan, Talitha Apta Fatihah, Rijal Afayyyed Sairi and Abdullah Jundi Salim, won the first silver medal with their scientific work entitled “ThaDBlood: Affordable Technological Innovation in Monitoring Thalassemia Cases using the DNA Blood Samples Spectroscopy Method to realize SDGS Third Pillar Towards a Golden Indonesia 2045

Beside that, there are also Ribka Widya Theresia Sitinjak (Bioprocess Technology 2022) and friends who also won a silver medal for their scientific work entitled “Gaetlife: Innovation in Future Foods Based on Microalgae sp. as Nutrition Fulfillment for the Young Generation to Support a Golden Indonesia 2045”
