Presenting the chairman of PERTETA, Dr. Ir. Desrial, M.Eng. IPU and Nasrizal, STP from PT. Astra Agro Lestari, Agricultural Engineering and Biosystems Study Program Faculty of Agricultural Technology Universitas Brawijaya held a hybrid workshop, Thursday (20/07/2023).

Attended by all lecturers in TEP FTP, Dr. Desrial explained that Indonesia has started OBE-based from 2020, explicitly so that the curriculum needs to continue its implementation and evaluation. Considering the existence of MBKM since 2020, PS competence asks students to be able to add understanding beyond IT skills, industrial world alignment, and integrate what is gained in PS to collaborate with other fields in the world of work.

While Nasrial suggested the development of courses, especially on the science of measuring the area: mapping the area using drones; drone use techniques in the plantation industry sector; the use of ArcGIS combined with drone mapping and Global Method. Furthermore, Nasrizal also suggested courses in Plantation infrastructure engineering, plantation heavy equipment engineering and plantation digitization.
